I’ve just joined an online community through Leonie Dawson (aka Goddess Leonie). I jumped because she is about to increase her membership prices and it was just he push I needed. I just missed out on joining her creative business course. I was still sitting on the fence and I decided to let that opportunity pass. But I kept reading her twitter feed and newsletters and this time I decided to take the leap.
I’ve found with many of the courses I’ve bought on this adventure that they’ve come along just before I thought I was ready. (Yaro Starak’s blogging course, Danielle LaPorte’s Spark Kit, Kelly Rae Roberts’ Taking Flight online workshop & ebook). And they have each had something that gave me the nudge to take the leap. A discounted price, a tight deadline. It’s the little push I need to make a decision. No sitting on the fence. I’m in or I’m out.
I’ve also signed up for Shenee Howard’s newsletter mini workshop being released on June 30. I am in the process of working on a newsletter for this blog and I know it will come in handy once I launch my products too. And again, this has come along at just the right time. Just before I am truly comfortable with the decision. Before I feel ready. Again giving me a push to take the next step forward.
I think if we wait until we are ready, we could end up just waiting and waiting. Never being fully sure of when we ARE ready. Thinking we need just a little more time. We need to learn a little bit more first. Maybe these opportunities aren’t appearing just before I am ready. Maybe they are showing up at just the right time. Maybe I AM ready, I just don’t know it yet.
As they say…
When the student is ready, the teacher appears.
