What do you want to revolutionize?

Have you discovered Danielle LaPorte yet?  If not, please take a minute to look at her blog.  Beautiful, feminine, powerful and empowering.

She has a weekly “Burning Question” on her blog and I have decided to play along.  I hope you will come along with me or even play along too.

This week the Burning Question is..

What do you want to revolutionize?

This question is a tricky one.  What I want to revolutionize… What I imagine being able to revolutionize…  What I would revolutionize – That part is easy to answer.

I want to revolutionize how women work. How us girls make a living.  Whatever wording you like to use.  I want to discover it and live it for myself.  And I want to share it with other women.  I want us to discover this together.  The magic secret…

I want us to know what it feels like to make a living doing something we love.  I want us to know what it feels like to make a living doing something that fills us up to overflowing.  I want us to know what it feels like to make a living doing something that truly matters.  To know something more than working 9 – 5.  To know something more than just showing up to That Day Job.

The hard part of this burning question?  That nagging thought of “But, I’m just me” pops up. Yes.  Again.  Damn it!   Who am I to discover how to earn a living doing something beautiful?  Who am I to revolutionize how we, as a sisterhood, work? Who am I to lead the way?  That is the tricky part of this question.

And I think it is at the heart of many women…

We don’t think we are THE ONE.

The one to lead a revolution.  The one to change the world.  The one to live a life beyond the rules.  Beyond what others expect.  Beyond what WE ever expected.

You know what?  Who the hell are we not to?  Why not us?  Why not me?  If not me, if not us, then who?

  1. The thing about revolution… is that it often does just start with a “just me” somewhere. A “just me” with an idea. A “just me” with an idea willing to act on it. So why not you? I do what I love and love it so much it is deep seeded within me to help others do the same. I love your thoughts on that – more people need to realize that they can do what they love!

Thanks for stopping by Melann and for your lovely comment.

The “just me” idea is one that I think a lot of women understand – thank you for cheering us on to do what we love.
